The Mt. Morris, Michigan. Athletic Boosters sold 18-inch by 24-inch signs to support the high school's varsity football team. But when some parents put them in their yards, they got an unwelcome surprise. The city's code enforcement officer sent several of them letters warning the signs violated the sign ordinance and threatening them with a fine of up to $500 or up to 90 days in jail if they didn't remove the signs.
