3 Good Reasons to Donate to Our Annual Webathon!
We're just getting started on our annual webathon, where we're looking for 1,000 new donors to Reason Foundation, the nonprofit that publishes this website. As a 501(c)3 organization, donations to Reason Foundation are tax-deductible.
The webathon will run until Friday of this week and if you give $100, you'll get a choice of Reason books, t-shirts, and more swag than you can shake a stick at. Go here to check out the different giving levels and premiums offered.
Here are three good reasons to support Reason's Webathon '10:
1. Reason magazine. Established in 1968, Reason is the magazine of "Free Minds and Free Markets" and the nation's leading libertarian voice in debates over politics, culture, and ideas. Eleven times a year, Reason mag brings you the very best in long-form journalism and sharp columnists such as Editor in Chief Matt Welch, economist Veronique de Rugy, and culture maven Greg Beato.
2. Reason.com. Established in 1994, Reason.com is chock full of web-only material and home to our staff blog, Hit & Run, which has been named one of the country's best blogs by everyone from Washingtonian magazine to Playboy to the Los Angeles Press Club. Week after week, you'll find columns by the likes of Jacob Sullum, Ronald Bailey, and Radley Balko, along with the rest of Reason's staffers. You'll also see columns by the Chicago Tribune's Steve Chapman and Fox Business' John Stossel. Where else will you read articles and blog posts like "Obama Blames Self for Insufficiently Communicating How Awesome He's Been" or "John Boehner's Tears Are Like Acid to Freedom"?
3. Reason.tv. Established in 2007, Reason.tv is the political mag world's preeminent videojournalism site. Over the past 12 months, we cranked out almost 350 segments, including the award-winning documentary "Reason Saves Cleveland with Drew Carey." Whether we're turning out live coverage of DC rallies, calling bullshit on GM's TARP repayment, or bestowing the honor of Nanny of the Month on some buttinsky bureaucrat, Reason.tv is bringing the very best in web video to your computer every day of the year

Do the t-shirts shrink?
The beer video is the one you should be touting on reason.tv
No Lobster Girl T-Shirt? What's up with that?
Pesky copyright?
I'm always happy to support Reason. Keep up the great work.
I wouldn't piss in your mouths if your throats were on fire. Well, maybe I would. But I would never give you a penny to hawk your goofy ideology to dimwit groupthinkers. Not a fucking penny!
All the time you spend here, Max, is way more valuable than any amount of money that you could donate. That being said, maybe you should consider, at least, a small donation.
How would someone's throat catch fire?
I don't know, but I am sure it has something to do with Ron Paul's cock.
I think that Max must have poor grasp of anatomy, if he thinks that a fire would be able to obtain the oxygen necessary to sustain combustion inside the esophagus. What a buffoon, indeed, sir!
Spontaneous Maxbustion.
"How would someone's throat catch fire?"
Simple. Libertarian mouths are full of bullshit. The friction from sucking Rand's dick builds up heat, and voila! Spontaneous combustion
Yes, she had a dick
Yawn.
What rectal said^^.
PS ARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARF!!!!!!!!!!
Who's she? Also, if it's started by friction, it isn't spontaneous.
Sugarfree told me that's how he lost his pancreas but if you say that you're the expert on sticking a dick down a libertarian's mouth, and causing fires...then hell, I defer to you Warty
Holy shit, that's pitiful. Is that really the best you can do? You are a terrible writer, rctl.
I suggest you click on that little piece of masturbation you call your site. Coincidence, I met a little toad the other day, and he ain't as little as he use to be. Thank god his throat didn't catch on fire but I guess he wasn't Libertarian. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khwjD-KVQ_Q
The writer of Warty's "masturbation" isn't Warty, it's a guy named Don Marquis. He was a writer in various mediums in the mid 20th century.
Warty is correct that your writing is not that good. It is all heat and no light. A lot of profanity may offend your mom, son, but you'll need some grit and truth to set the adult's teeth on edge.
Edge is it, that is what you are missing. The prose of your "insults" has more frustration than sandpaper, but keep making dick jokes...if it makes you happy.
Or, maybe you shouldn't try so hard to impress.
wow! I never knew that. In fact, next you're going to tell me Warty remembers him as a little boy!
Are you insulting our voters, you homophobic racist hick?
ARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARFARF!!!!!!!!!!
I donated in Max's name. I used funds that I usually donate to the Volunteer Fire Department. With any luck.....
I would like to file a complaint, the "Meet Your Escorts" portion of the cruise site was extremely misleading.
A 4th reason to donate: So I can keep inflicting metal on you people.
You'll keep doing that regardless of whether or not we donate.
Not if you freeloaders don't donate and the site goes tits up. As Edward would say, Donate now!
I have to get something off my chest Warty: Metal is shit. I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth all these years.
I used to think metal was shit; I still think a lot of metal is shit. But I've stumbled upon some musically-interesting metal in the past couple of years. And I've discovered "metal" bands that do other genres very well. I thank my teenage son for making this 52-year old a bit more open-minded about the music that goes into my ears.
Metal music is made by people who are trying to be punk, but they don't have any musical talent so they compensate by playing loud and fast.
but they don't have any musical talent so they compensate by playing loud and fast.
You just precisely described punk there, dillhole.
I have to get something off my chest Warty: Metal is shit. I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth all these years.
Thanks, Warty. You keep my iPod/iTunes list from going stale.
why donate, I get it for free? Free Market indeed!
I will give generously if you list every employee and how much compensation they receive every year.
(My town used to do that for every employee and send a copy to every resident each year - then they had to cut the budget. Guess what was the first thing they cut?)
David Nott - $210,112
Robert W. Poole - $194,098

Lol. That's worth the price of admission.
please don't donate a nickle. It would be such delicious irony if Reason fell victim to the market. Fuck chariry! Let it happen!
