It's amusing that you loonies think you're going to convince people that the social safety net is a terrible thing. There are enough ignoramuses out there to form the Tea Party, but not enough to actually turn the clock back. Universal health care is coming, and Social Security is never going away. How about a safety net that actually helps poor people, is not the most expensive one possible, does not put us trillions in debt, is sustainable longer then 20 years, and does not create perverse incentives.

Hell if you could make a safety net that even does one of those things you would be light years ahead of what we have now.

What the hell happened to Tims's "I like Beck" story.
