No Cheers For Bipartisanship

|

Ron Hart on bipartisanship:

We should be delighted there is no bipartisanship in Washington. Bipartisanship brings about bad decisions, like the Iraq War. The Democrats had 60 votes for ObamaCare which they had to bribe some of their Senators to secure—the bill is that bad. With no Republican votes and daily defections of Democrats, the health care bill will not be bipartisan, but maybe bi-curious at best. They want to pass this bill through "reconciliation," which could be the most expensive phrase to come out of the White House since "Mission Accomplished."

Whole thing here.

  1. Putting a bi-curious bill through reconciliation suggest that Obama isn’t actually a secret Muslim, but a Catholic clergyman.

  2. Thank You for posting this! I really like your blog!!

  3. Ban P Brooks before it comments

  4. The Iraq war was bi-partisan? What are you talking about? I thought George Bush and Dick Cheney declared a military dictatorship and did after jailing every Democratic member of Congress.

    1. Wasn’t that the Family Health, Warm Puppy and Sedition Act of 2003?

  5. Also, Hart needs to get the memo. Now that Obama is in charge the Iraq war is now a shinning success.

    1. I believe the correct anatomical term is “kneecapping”, not “shinning” success.

  6. We *really* need to come up with a better term than “reconciliation”.

    I suggest “putrefaction”.

  7. Tough luck, Minions.

“Be gone, before somebody drops a house on you.”

    ps- Ron Hart, like, SUUUUUUUUCKS.

  8. A story from National Public Radio says that there is one ‘politically hazardous’ issue which Congressional supporters of the health-care bill ‘fear most.’

Bet you can’t guess what that issue is!

    From the story:

‘anti-abortion House Democrats who originally voted for the House health bill will likely face this choice: Vote for a Senate bill that’s more lenient on abortion or vote against health overhaul. And it will make it that much harder for House leaders to get the majority they need to pass the bill.’

    1. But when members of their family get lifetime judicial appointments, the vote will seem much easier.

      1. The apparent bribe offer is not being made to any of the Democratic Congress members I was referring to – Stupak and his colleagues who voted for the House version of the bill, which contained explicit anti-abortion language.

The article deals with a Democratic Representative who voted *against* the House version of the bill – Obama is trying to get him to vote in favor of the even worse version promoted by the administration.

Stupak and his colleagues, on the other hand, voted *for* the House version, largely because the House bill included the Stupak anti-abortion language.

    2. Jeez, Obama can’t even do a crude payoff right.

Now that the Dem’s brother has his appointment, what’s the downside for voting against this bill? What’s Obama gonna do – yank the appointment?

I would have expected a White House full of crooked Chicago thugs to understand that you don’t pay for the vote until after the vote.

      1. Worse still, if he changes his vote, he looks like a crook regardless of whether he actually is. Obama is a true amateur.

      2. You guys been following this recall stuff? It’s getting totally out of hand. Now the Obama administration might require all cars to have an override system in case the brake pedal doesn’t work. Personally, I like the old override system ? a tree.

  9. Hart rocks!

Charlie Rangel refused to step down Monday after being admonished by the House Ethics Committee. The chairman said what he did was not unethical. When a Democrat secretly accepts Caribbean trips from wealthy corporations it’s called bipartisanship.

  10. Watch out PJ, Hart is on a roll!

  11. Same old tired comments by P Brooks. Hart at some point may even notice him.

This was in our paper today, folks are digging Hart’s message here.

He is the redneck P.J. O’Rourke. If he can convince people in Kentucky to vote better, then he had dummy down’ed his message enough to do so.

  12. Last week Hart wrote that funny column on Toyota.

  13. No doubt one of the best and humorous columns I have ever read on this subject. Where is this guy from?

  14. I love me some Ron Hart—- he said on Fox once that he thought the whole Civil Rights problems could have been avoided if Rosa Parks has just called shotgun.

  15. Also, Hart needs to get the memo. Now that Obama is in charge the Iraq war is now a shinning success winstrol

  16. Exactly as I wanted somethingI?ve tried Piwik and it worked good!Great Work ? thanks.
