Breathe Easy

A British coroner has ruled that gross failures and neglect led to Rosemary McFarlane's death at a Birmingham hospital. McFarlane went in for a routine bronchoscopy to check her lungs and was given a chemical at 10 times the recommended level, which burned her lungs. McFarlane died 10 days later. Coroner Aidan Cotter said it was difficult to imagine a more painful death.
