Can't you guys just hire a ventriloquist or something to fill in on the cheap until you find someone funny?

  2. Fist of Etiquette   16 years ago

On the positive side, I can now see the cartoon while I'm commenting on it.

On the negative side, I can now see the cartoon while I'm commenting on it.

  3. @   16 years ago

    I dissent. Better than average.

  4. db   16 years ago

    win.

  5. Kyle Jordan   16 years ago

    It's funny cause it's true.

  6. prolefeed   16 years ago

Because there's nothing -- nothing! -- more racist than opposing a government takeover of health care proposed by a Congressional party dominated and led by rich white people.

  7. Suki   16 years ago

The Anti-Obama Racist one was funnier.

REMEMBER ME IS BACK! [prays it works]

  8. brotherben   16 years ago

Dude on the right looks like Darwin from The Wild Thornberries.

  9. BitterB*st*rd   16 years ago

Because there's nothing -- nothing! -- more racist than opposing a government takeover of health care proposed by a Congressional party dominated and led by rich white people.

    Worth repeating

  10. Eric   16 years ago

Why does everyone hate on the cartoonist?

This one is particularly funny in a sad sort of way. I originally dismissed the claim, "once Obama's president you'll be labeled a racist if you disagree with him". Now, that is sadly how the left dismiss opposing opinion.

  11. John Thacker   16 years ago

Course, the one on the left was said to a foreign country, specifically Pakistan, which had been covertly supporting the Taliban. The one on the right is attempting to describe domestic politics.

I guess that since the DNC's position is that domestic politics "" just like the RNC's position on foreign policy, it works.

  12. John Thacker   16 years ago

My friend, preview button, where have you gone?

"This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're the good."

  13. Xeones   16 years ago

This cartoon sucks less than threaded comments, but it's still racist.

  14. Prof. Wernstrom   16 years ago

I give this cartoon, and the new website layout, the worst grade imaginable: an A--.

  15. Rich   16 years ago

Nice job on Carter's lips, and in general.

  16. Pro Libertate   16 years ago

Sorry, but this is a good one. More sadly true than funny, but that works for political cartoons.

  17. sage   16 years ago

Without clicking on it, my guess would be that the guy in the picture is some public sector employee or group. And that thing right above him is the nipple from the public teat.

Now I'll look at the whole thing...

  18. sage   16 years ago

Actually that one's not bad. I may print it and leave it around the office.

  19. P Brooks   16 years ago

On my Friday Funnies curve, this one comes in at about a "B+".

    Best Friday Funny ever?

  20. Mike Laursen   16 years ago

re: "Course, the one on the left was said to a foreign country, specifically Pakistan, which had been covertly supporting the Taliban."

    And to many others.

  21. Warren   16 years ago

Is that suppose to be Obama? Worst Caricature ev-er.

    Not Funny
    Relevant
    Poor Artwork
    Grade: D

  22. JW   16 years ago

    Seriously, Warren? Obama?

Not funny, but sadly true. B-

  23. James Ard   16 years ago

Nice touch with the Nobel prize.

  24. Art-P.O.G.   16 years ago

Nice art, cuts quickly to the truth. A solid B+.

  25. NAL   16 years ago

I have to say it's one of Bok's better ones. Jimmy Carter looks funny too.

  26. Colonel_Angus   16 years ago

    That's supposed to be Carter?

Big lips... Now I see it I think.

    Racist.

  27. Paul   16 years ago

    I thought it was good.

Oh, and having your BOT automatically put in "Fail" on every friday funnies isn't...funny.

True, friday funnies is often not funny, but sometimes they are.

  28. Obey the Fist   16 years ago

"Either you pretend racism doesn't exist or you are calling all dissent racist!"

It's all so black and white!

  29. abercrombie milano   15 years ago

My only point is that if you take the Bible straight, as I'm sure many of Reasons readers do, you will see a lot of the Old Testament stuff as absolutely insane. Even some cursory knowledge of Hebrew and doing some mathematics and logic will tell you that you really won't get the full deal by just doing regular skill english reading for those books. In other words, there's more to the books of the Bible than most will ever grasp. I'm not concerned that Mr. Crumb will go to hell or anything crazy like that! It's just that he, like many types of religionists, seems to take it literally, take it straight...the Bible's books were not written by straight laced divinity students in 3 piece suits who white wash religious beliefs as if God made them with clothes on...the Bible's books were written by people with very different mindsets...in order to really get the Books of the Bible, you have to cultivate such a mindset, it's literally a labyrinth, that's no joke
