    Fail.

  2. ConHugeCo   16 years ago

Impressive, that's not funny on so many levels

  3. Spoonman   16 years ago

    No.

  4. domoarrigato   16 years ago

the capitol is a clunker. D-

  5. Mrs. Garrison   16 years ago

Scott, come see me after class.

  6. Warren   16 years ago

    Not funny.
    Makes no point.
    Very good artwork.

    Grade: D+

  7. P Brooks   16 years ago

Maybe if Uncle Sam was dumping "Congress" into the maw of a giant shredder, with Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and Henry Nosehair struggling to escape...

  8. strike through   16 years ago

I would have had caricatures of Pelosi and Reid in the wheelbarrow, on their way to the car crusher (legs and arms sticking out of it in a gruesome way) if I could draw, which I can't.

  9. strike through   16 years ago

    Damn you, P Brooks!

  10. Xeones   16 years ago

11:00 AM? Damn, i thought we'd escaped this week.

  11. Kolohe   16 years ago

    Really? I liked it.

  12. BakedPenguin   16 years ago

A tow truck driven by uncle Sam towing a bunch of "cars" with disfunctional agency names on them (DHS, ONDCP, BATFE, etc.) would have been better.

I mean, once you decide to do a "clunker" cartoon, that seems like a no-brainer.

  13. Jaybird   16 years ago

I thought it was actually funny as well.

I could see how people at the DailyKos might think that it was completely unfunny and inappropriate, however.

    Also, Nazis.

  14. strike through   16 years ago

It's racist in some way, too. It must be.

  15. Sandi   16 years ago

I took a shit in the capital once.

  16. brotherben   16 years ago

I thought the "clunkers" had to be in working condition?

  17. highnumber   16 years ago

Aha! Now I see the genius of this cartoon: It was a set up for brotherben. Good show!

  18. Mango Punch   16 years ago

I agree with Kolohe, I liked this one. I didn't see it coming and briefly chortled. Kudos.

    Ugh.

    Free Minds
    Shitty Cartoons.

Reason is kind of like the Anti-New Yorker.

  21. Art-P.O.G.   16 years ago

I thought this one was pretty good. Dammit, maybe I just liked the way the Capitol Building was drawn.

  22. Paul   16 years ago

A better cartoon would have Obama as a 'slick' car salesman performing a bait-and-switch on America.

Oh wait, that's exactly what he did, so that's not funny, that's just a raw depiction of truth.

  23. HeadTater   16 years ago

Not eligible for C4C. The trade in must be in drivable condition. Der!

  24. Fast Ed97   16 years ago

I would have had caricatures of Pelosi and Reid in the wheelbarrow, on their way to the car crusher (legs and arms sticking out of it in a gruesome way) if I could draw, which I can't.

Nah..better to have them impounded and use their "spare parts" in furtherance of Obamacare.

My only point is that if you take the Bible straight, as I'm sure many of Reasons readers do, you will see a lot of the Old Testament stuff as absolutely insane. Even some cursory knowledge of Hebrew and doing some mathematics and logic will tell you that you really won't get the full deal by just doing regular skill english reading for those books. In other words, there's more to the books of the Bible than most will ever grasp. I'm not concerned that Mr. Crumb will go to hell or anything crazy like that! It's just that he, like many types of religionists, seems to take it literally, take it straight...the Bible's books were not written by straight laced divinity students in 3 piece suits who white wash religious beliefs as if God made them with clothes on...the Bible's books were written by people with very different mindsets.
