Hey - what about the Mayor of Puerto Real
Busted for insulting the Spanish king... (or, actually FINED!)

I predict that MattY will fully acknowledge the role of MassiveImmigration and fully acknowledge how that's given even more power to the far-left.

I predict that based on knowing that MattW is fully intellectually honest.

Orangey - he forgot. Must have slipped his mind.

    UPDATE

OK, so that didn't work out. But, I'm absolutely certain that the next time MattW is on Fox he'll mention one of the root causes of CA's problems: MassiveImmigration. Not only does that lead to more spending - spending that dwarfs very minor issues like a few high pensions - but it leads to more power for the far-left including those unions MattW complains about. It also leads to PoliticalCorruption.

And, in fact, if there had been MuchLessImmigration into CA, many of the problems MattW complains about would never have occurred: those unions and the far-left in general would have less power and there wouldn't have been any need to spend so much money.

I am absolutely certain that MattW will mention that. Next time. You just wait. He will. I'm sure.

VM, in Spain, you can and will be fined for insulting the royal family. Even comedy shows have to be really careful how they portray them. A few years ago there was a scandal with El Jueves regarding just that. It's ridiculous, but it's the law.

What I don't understand is how a Puerto Rican, who is an American, can have this fine levied against him.

  6. VM   16 years ago

Epi - yeah. It's just one of those "Dear Leader" laws that makes my antlers go "innie"...

LoneWacko suddenly panicked--he hadn't put his disclaimer on his posts! He was ripe for mockery and insults! He started typing, frantically, but kept putting spaces between words and having to go back and remove them.

This was taking too long. He had to put the magic disclaimer up before anyone got to him.

That's when the diarrhea hit. He hesitated at the computer, hoping to hit the Submit button, but had to run for the trash can. He was but inches away when yesterday's meal of Spam and grits blasted out of him.

    One Wacko, two cups?

Epi, the fined party is actually the mayor of a city in Spain called Puerto Real; I, too, read the comment as meaning Puerto Rico, but it's not the case.

Ahh, I see. It all makes sense now. Thanks.

at least the Cambridge Shoe Thrower was cleared...

Epi - it doesn't make sense. You've been mainlining kitty litter again, haven't you?

The Governator just addressed the corrupt and dysfunctional state legislature a short while ago, and said "The bank is closed, the credit is dried up, and our day of reckoning is here."

I'm amazed that Obama hasn't just bailed the state out already.

You've been mainlining kitty litter again, haven't you?

I told you that in confidence, VM!

Our agreement was that you'd go into full detail about that weekend with the Thai Twins, Bang Mi and Yum Yum.

    And you didn't.

    So I'm tellin.
