Intern at reason This Spring: Last Day to Apply!

reason is now accepting applications for the spring 2009 Burton C. Gray Memorial Internship. The intern will work in our Washington, D.C. office for 10 weeks during the spring semester, and receives a $5,000 stipend.

The job includes reporting and writing for reason and reason online, helping with research, proofreading, and other tasks. Previous interns have gone on to work at such places as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, ABC News, and reason itself.

That is pretty good, as good as what I was paid when I was an intern. I would have done my internship for nothing though. I desperately needed something to put on my resume.

I'll give Reason the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are getting a higher quality of intern that way and are turning a profit from them.

They do have a living wage where I work. They haven't brought on nearly as many interns now that it is in effect. Who could have seen coming?

I don't know, if he gets elected and realizes with his new spending and lack of capital gains revenues he has a $1 trillion deficit to deal with, it might go down to $2500.

The "internship" I got out of college paid $4,500 for 9 MONTHS (plus the added bonus of a 70 hour work week). Of course, you could almost live in Charleston, SC for that (if you didn't have a drinking problem).
