Naseer Fayez hosts an Afghan TV show that uncovers government corruption. The show apparently struck a nerve because he was detained by the country's secret police for two days and warned to leave journalism. In fact, Afghan and international human rights groups say the government is increasing its harrassment of journalists who criticize the government. Khalil Marmgoy, for instance, spent 35 days in jail after writing a satire of President Hamid Karzai.
