How Do We Clone Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.)?
Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) speaking sanely in an insane world:
"The federal government's propensity to bail out failing companies in struggling industries ought to be troubling to all taxpayers," said Flake. "Aside from the fiscal impact of spending money that the federal government doesn't have, these bailouts will likely have the opposite of their intended effect."
"Federal bailouts may stave off short-term economic damage, but the long-term economic outlook will be much worse if the market is not allowed to make its own adjustments."
"While the Bush Administration certainly shares blame for these bailouts, this Congress may designate itself as the 'Bailout Congress' if we follow through on a rumored bailout of the auto industry."
Flake in reason. And on reason.tv, making sense about U.S.-Cuba policy and economic freedom:

Still a politician . . . beware.
When the workers complete their revolution, will they execute Flake or simply co-opt him?
Considering that he's against human cloning, I think we're about fucked in the "cloning Jeff Flake" department.
this Congress may designate itself as the 'Bailout Congress' if we follow through on a rumored bailout of the auto industry.
I think they'll be remembered as something a hell of a lot worse than that. Something involving four letter words.
Would that be the entire auto industry, or just the amaerican dinosaurs that screwed themselves to the wall with insane legacy costs while their credit arms were making good money?
Does he have the juice to gum it up?
warren, I like the way you think.
Does he have the juice to gum it up?
No way. If Congress decides they're going to bail out everybody, Flake can't possibly stop them.
Cheap Iris,
Four letter words?
EPIC FAIL Congress

Leave me alone, the kids in the office have been playing with the anagram website for hours.
Uh oh, NutraSweet got baked and started playing with the anagram website again.
Waffle House = Awful Fee Hos
Ah, the voice of reason: sweet, sane, and uterly ignored.
SugarFree,
Don't let anyone tell you marijuana isn't a perfectly acceptable sugar subsititute.

I love Big Brother!
Anybody try that Stevia stuff yet? Gross. Stupid hippie Splenda. It never dissolves or reaches suspension. You have to keep stirring it and it makes everything cloudy.
Anybody try that Stevia stuff yet?\
I kind of like it. I tried putting a packet in my morning shake, so it dissolved fine after the blender got through with it.
Stevia= Save It
What's better for 'libertarian'? Brain Retail or A Trailer Bin or Bare Lair Nit or Bra Lair Nite?
Bra Lair Nite sounds pretty awesome. Although probably discriminatory to those not wearing bras.
Ooh, ooh, 'Reason Magazine'= Anagram Seize On!
What's better for 'libertarian'? Brain Retail or A Trailer Bin or Bare Lair Nit or Bra Lair Nite?
Brain Retail, but I wouldn't object to a Bra Lair Nite at the local bar.

Rumored? We're bumping up the loan request demand to 100 gigabucks. Unlike the finance houses, we actually have physical possession of assets.

Didn't you read Time Enough for Love? Lazarus Long says you don't own your genes. We'll get them from fallen hair or shedded skin.
Oops. That were me.
So, welfare moms, bad....welfare corporations, good. I think I understand Republicans now.
He has great teeth.
How do we clone Jeff Flake?
We don't need to.
To paraphrase Robert Heinlein: "He reproduces by fission. Like all bacteria."
Too bad his "libertarian" philosophy doesn't extend to the bedroom -- he's Mr. anti-gay "Family Values" etc.
Good he is coming around on this issue as well and follow Ron Paul. Paul has the guts to speak out on this hypocrisy in foreign policy with regard to Cuba, also in the Florida debates. Too bad reason does not reflect Paul's leadership in this regard.
He's okay, and sometimes a breath of fresh air, but he has nothing on Paul.
