The release of reason's October issue (subscribe now!).

With the curiosity of the landlocked... do any of the tinfoil hat crowd show up to these, muttering about the melting point of steel and the BrownMenace?
Will Matt's mom be there?
Will Palin be there? I heard she's a libertarian.
Aspartame-
I went to the last one. It was fun, and the reason writers really do appreciate the reason subscribers. No sign of troofers, and it is literally a stone's throw from the Metro station.
Oh, and Kerry Howley was all that and more in person.
Why don't they do events in NYC or Boston? Yeah, I know, all of them live in DC, but hey, get reason to pay for you all to go to the Big Apple or Beantown.
That's a great idea, DC 9/11 truth probably doesn't read the blog. We should forward them this information and then there will be even more people to mingle with.
Why don't they do events in NYC or Boston?
Pfeh on you coastal elites. Come to San Angelo, TX and get hammered with some real life, bred in the bone, libertarians!
Bob Barr is slated to appear, but will probably not show. But its ok Wayne Allyn Root will offer to step down and make Matt Welch the VP.
Will Matt's mom be there?
Alas, no.
Come to San Angelo, TX and get hammered with some real life, bred in the bone, libertarians!
Why don't you name a date?
Screw San Angelo! Reason needs to come to Austin, Texas! Better music, bars, pot--and heroin for Nick! Plus concealed carry permits--hello! Everythings bigger and better in Texas, baby!
If we're stumping for our cities, I nominate Seattle. Or maybe meet in the (kind of) middle: Las Vegas.
Why don't you name a date?
Ok, Matt: September 20th, Hartford, CT.
The release of the paperback edition of reason magazine Editor in Chief Matt Welch's book, McCain: The Myth of a Maverick.
Matt Welch isn't releasing a book on McCain is he? Damn, thanks for letting us know.
Christ on a bike, Reason has become nothing but an infomercial!
Better music, bars, pot--and heroin for Nick! Plus concealed carry permits....
How 'bout the ATL ?
I throw my vote in for whatever Epi offers as a date/place, as we seem to both live on the east coast. NYC would be awesome, Hartford fine too. Could do Providence too, since I *believe* prostitution is legal there.
LOL, The myth of a Maverick? More like the Life of a Habitual LIAR! What a joke. You have got to be kidding right?

Is it actually in the upstairs bar? Last time half the folks were up there and the other half were in the side bar that the owner set aside.
hey, Nick lives (ostensibly) in the 'Nati. WHEN WILL IT BE OHIO'S TURN TO SHINE?!
Just thirteen responses to this post between 9/11 & 9/14 so you have to post it again on 9/15? What does that tell you, Matt?
I was disappointed that we didn't do a Reason happy hour in Denver when you guys were in town to cover the conventions (LP and Democratic).
Hey. Do you guys ever intend to do one of these events in New York? You know, we're kind of an important city, and not far from DC!
No Byline, it's a good reminder for us DC area folks. It's like advertising...each impression counts. I'm much more likely to remember it and attend if it's mentioned often.
Plus, it's not really something to comment on. Other than 'woo-hoo, alcohol!'

That this Happy Hour post has received about the same number of comments, and been posted the same number of times, as other Happy Hour announcements?
