Now Playing at Reason.tv: Matt Welch Talks to an Ostrich Who Is Down on McCain and Up on the Middle Class, Even if She Can't Really Define What That Means
From Denver, reason's Matt Welch snags an exclusive interview with a politically minded ostrich who is down on John McCain's treatment of the middle class, even if she can't really define who makes up the middle class. Or why Barack Obama would be any different.
This is two minutes of your life you'll wish were four!

The middle class are those who are not as rich as the rich and therefore are repressed.
Middle class: I know it when I see it.
It's not the worst off-the-cuff definition I've ever heard. Making under $100,000/year, owning one home or less, and no money spent on private school. I wonder what % of the population you would get if you ran those parameters.
Roughly 84 percent of U.S. earn less than $100,000.
So I'm not middle class? OK. I'll have to go stock up on monocle polish.
World's Most One-Sided Fistfights is really mean. That's why it's funny.
I'm lower class! Woohoo! Now I can lord it over my house-owning liberal friends.
So I'm not middle class?
No, you're no class. Like school on Sunday.
Come on, you set me up on that one.
Insults mean nothing at all coming from a cilantro eater.
You just keep touting your lack of palate as if it's a good thing.
Cute! Now, if MattW would actually go after someone who actually has some sort of PoliticalPower then he might be doing real reporting.
Reason's coverage of this event has been pointless, and I'll bet the reports from the MSM's "human interest" reporters have been more interesting.
I make under $100,000/year, and spend no money on private school. I own two homes, but am desperately trying to sell one of them. Does that mean I'm currently upper class, but will drop back down to middle class as soon as I can find a sucker buyer for the other building?
This is two minutes of your life you'll wish were four!
Did you mean two minutes that will feel like four?
Wow, LW has really topped himself with this idiocy. Let's see, Lonewacker, how about if he went after a guy who could be the next President? Is that taking on enough political power for you?
Oh, right, I forgot - McCain is beholden the the Bildeburgers, La Raza and the Illuminati. And Welch isn't ever going to ask them any questions.
Hey Matt, are you going to interview morons at the RNC as well? Because, well, I won't watch that interview either. But at least it would be fair and balanced.
Making under $100,000/year, owning one home or less, and no money spent on private school.
Why no money on private school?
And do you really want to define a household with two working parents, each making $26/hour, as "rich"?
