"Who's that lay-day?"
"Sexy lay-day!"
I'm crossing my fingers for Sarah Palin. VPILF!
I think it'll be someone who loves Jesus.
I'm hearing it might be Eric Cantor.
I really want it to be Lieberman though. Nothing would please me more than to see the Repub party freak out over a lib on the ticket.
"I'm hearing it might be Eric Cantor."
Bwahahahahahahah! Are you SERIOUS?
I dont see how McCain can attack Obama on inexperience as they seem wont to do and then choose as a VP a never-elected-for-anything former CEO or a 18-month governor.
Lieberman on the other hand is plausible.
Do you think he could get that Obama girl? That would be quite a coup!

I don't what the Dem strategists think of her, and I'm not convinced any of them would be smart enough to do it, but her role in the current scandal up there would make it REALLY easy to paint her as a Cheney in training.

He'd have to pick a liberal for that to happen.
Pawlenty.
He's young, he'll carry Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin, and despite what the pundents say, he'll match up fin for one debate with Biden.
Bio:
Tim Pawlenty (born November 27, 1960) is an American politician. He is the 39th governor of Minnesota starting his term on January 6, 2003.
Tim PawlentyHe had served as the majority leader in the Minnesota House of Representatives prior to being elected governor, beginning his term in the House in 1992. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Minnesota. His wife, Mary Pawlenty, is a district judge in Dakota County. He is a Republican.
Tim Pawlenty had originally planned to seek the US Senate seat in 2002. Several national Republican leaders including Vice President Dick Cheney, asked him to step aside to allow Norm Coleman to challenge Paul Wellstone. Pawlenty then decided to run for governor. The race saw four major-party candidates (the Republican, Democratic, Independence, and Green parties were all considered to be "major" by the state at the time). Pawlenty ran against Roger Moe (Democratic), Tim Penny (Independence), and Ken Pentel (Green).
He campaigned in 2002 on a pledge not to raise taxes to balance the state's budget deficit. He also supported requiring visa expiration dates on driver's licenses, a 24 hour waiting period on abortions, implementing the state's conceal-carry gun law and changing the state's education requirements. During the 2003 session, all these issues were passed except the "expiration dates on driver licenses". Like his predecessor Governor Jesse Ventura, he has a weekly call-in radio show.

Or attempting to prosecute people for running anti-obama ads ala the big "O"?

There is going to be one liberal on any McCain ticket. We just don't want two.
John McCain will unveil his veep pick Friday morning. My prediction: It will either be Joe Lieberman, or a lady.
Or both. Swami Jon sees surprising revelations being revealed this Friday.
"Meanwhile, in Old-Guy News"
I look forward to your covering Obama during the RNC under the headline "Meanwhile, in Darky News"
Dream scenario: McCain picks Sarah Palin. They win. McCain has debilitating stroke. Palin becomes the first woman president. The heads of Hillary, Bill, and all the PUMAs explode.
-Or a lady-
What the fuck makes people think Meg Whitman is in any way, shape, or form a suitable candidate for Vee Pee?
Half-assed commentator, hold your horses! Obama will be old soon enough, too.
I govern about as many people as most County Executives.
Or attempting to prosecute people for running anti-obama ads ala the big "O"?
You know the difference between prosecuting and threatening a lawsuit, right?

Trying this again. Forget I wrote that. It makes no sense and was a stupid comment. My bad. And I compounded the error with bad tags. I'm an idiot.
"You know the difference between prosecuting and threatening a lawsuit, right?"
If Seitz had a brain, he'd take it out and play with it:
Now, Obama himself has upped the ante by demanding that the conservative who funded the Ayers ad be criminally prosecuted:
Obama general counsel Bob Bauer today sent a second, sharper letter to the Justice Department, directly attacking the Dallas billionaire funding a harsh attack ad, Harold Simmons.
"We reiterate our request that the Department of Justice fulfill its commitment to take prompt action to investigate and to prosecute the American issues Project, and we further request that the Department of Justice investigate and prosecute Howard (sic) Simmons for a knowing and willful violation of the individual aggregate contribution limits," he wrote.

Remind meagain what Lincoln said about fools removing all doubt...
This election will be all about the 60s! Dig it! It's gonna be WILD, man!
"..., or a lady."
Isn't that unduly restricting the field of possible female candidates?

While what Obama is doing wrong, you'd better be voting for Bob Barr because he's using McCain's proudest achievement (outside of being shot down).

i don't know what you are referencing. If you could elaborate, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Hillary Clinton. You read it here first.

McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform.
My thing is, he's basically saying: hey, there's a law that's tying my hands. Why isn't it also be applied to my opponents?
The law's rightfulness aside, when one side in a contest is following a law, and the other is not, that's not cool. Is it?
I'm really hating this election, and at this point I have no idea who I'm going to vote for. McCain's foreign policy and view on government scare the heck out of me, Obama is putting an easy-to-palate smiley face on socialism and Barr is sending libertarianism into a conservative gutter with his hardline stances on immigration and abortion. Of the three, I respect Obama's integrity the most, but still don't particularly trust him. McCain is far preferable on health care, school choice and spending to Obama, but hardly at all on anything else. Barr's probably the strategic choice, just to get the libertarian name out there, although I'm not convinced that a guy exposed as a total hypocrite by Larry Flynt is the best vessel for the ideas of libertarianism (not that there were any other candidates that could have done a better job, but...).
A lady, or a female politician? The intersection of these sets is extremely small.

demanding that the conservative who funded the Ayers ad be criminally prosecuted
I have a feeling they'll drop it rather than take the chance of his first amendment rights being upheld and driving a stake through McCain-Feingold.

Trying...to muster...will to care...
My thing is, he's basically saying: hey, there's a law that's tying my hands. Why isn't it also be applied to my opponents?
Didn't conservatives used to oppose changing the rules of elections half-way through?
Wow, I just heard on the radio this morning that John McCain was a POW. Who would've known?
Remind meagain what Lincoln said about fools removing all doubt...
And a fine example of joe'z law of the internetz.
I heard it was Wilford Brimley

Pawlenty.
"The era of small government is over ... government has to be more proactive, more aggressive."
-- Tim Pawlenty, 2006
Sounds about right for McCain.
I want it to be Palin. If it's not her, then I want it to be the Lieb. Either way would make for great television.
"Lady" is really misused here. If McCain were picking a man candidate, would you have said "gentleman"? Because that is the analogous term for a man.
"Woman" would have been much more appropriate here. "Lady" is clunky, presumptuous, sexist, and outdated.
Remind meagain what Lincoln said about fools removing all doubt...
Who's Meagain?
Clinton. 'Cause that would be just awesome for my chaos loving political soul.
