You Look Illegal to Us
When Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided Micro Solutions Enterprises in Van Nuys, California, they arrested 138 suspected illegal immigrants. They also detained and interrogated more than 100 U.S. citizens and legal immigrants, forbidding them from using their phones or going to the bathroom without an escort, until they figured out who they thought was illegal and who wasn't. Nitin Dhopade says agents demanded he prove his U.S. citizenship, something he says "none of the white folks in the office" were required to do.
