Al Qaeda vs. the Truthers
Al-Qaeda's deputy leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has blamed Iran for spreading the theory that Israel was behind the 11 September 2001 attacks.
In an audio tape posted on the internet, Zawahiri insisted al-Qaeda had carried out the attacks on the US.
He accused Iran, and its Hezbollah allies, of trying to discredit Osama Bin Laden's network.
Via Thoreau, who notes that this is another case of satire as prophecy.

Got it.

With a nod to Sandy, to be precise.
It's actually hilarious that The Onion nailed it so very well.
Zawahiri went on to criticise Iran for co-operating with the US in its 2001 invasion of Afghanistan, that helped to oust the Taleban.
"Iran's aim here is also clear - to cover up its involvement with America in invading the homes of Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq," he said.
Wow
Al Qaeda is competing with the Bush administration for title of "Most Delusional Fucks Around."
But I thought al Qaeda and Iran were allies.
*checks NRO*
Yup, both Bad Guys.
Monty Python would have parodied this well.
"She turned me into a newt!"
But I thought al Qaeda and Iran were allies.
The left was making up Al Qaeda/Shia Ties before the right was.
In fact if one wanted to they could probably find you claiming ties circa 2003-2005 in the hit and run archives.

What makes Bush delusional in Thoreau's world was when he followed Gore's, Clinton's, the other Clinton's and the US Congresses assessment that Iraq was a threat.

Well. Get to digging.

Don't you ever tire of making shit up?
Show us. Of course, you can't.
"What makes Bush delusional in Thoreau's world was when he followed Gore's, Clinton's, the other Clinton's and the US Congresses assessment that Iraq was a threat."
'iraq is a threat' and 'iraq is such a threat as to warrant all out-never ending war' are two very different statements.
Just goes to show how easily Bush and his cronies can deceive people.
Iran and al Qaedah hate each other! Probably more than Osama hated Saddam.
Joe, you hit the nail right on the head! Hats off to you!
If you're actually serious, you're the man on the street who probably watches Fox TV, who actually believes the stuff he hears! If you're not some automatic baiting program, you're the guy who got his brain filled with garbage by Bush's propaganda team.
Thanks for your comments. Very instructive and entertaining for me, since I usually don't interact with people like you.

Oops, "excuse me teacher, my brain is full."
Har har. LOL. Good fun. 😉
Nick: Joe is the resident liberal poster around here. He was being sarcastic.
People need to realize that Al Qaeda and Iran are like Serprentor and Cobra Commander from GI JOE. Now, sure, they both hate the Joes, but they're also so busy fighting each other that they can't ever get their robotic troops in line to conquer the US.
Can anyone seriously tell me why Al Qaeda doesn't do more to harass (read: blow shit up) in Iran? Just don't need more enemies right now?
That Churchill and Stalin hated each other and that both wished for the destruction of the other did not stop them from actively cooperating in wiping out Nazi Germany.
Evidence of Iran-Al Qaeda enmity is merely evidence of Iran-Al Qaeda enmity. Any further conclusions are unfounded.
Nick:
THE TYPE OF PEOPLE YOU "USUALLY INTERACT WITH" CALLED. THEY'RE WONDERING IF YOU COULD STICK AROUND HERE FOR A BIT LONGER.
YOU CAN'T. GIVE THEM OUR APOLOGIES.
What Pinette said.

As a libertarian, of course I think they're all delusional. They're politicians. Next question.

What's really amazing is how much ranting about Israel and the Zionists AQ does, with a grand total of one casualty-free rocket attack on Israel to their credit. What's the reason? They'd get their asses kicked if they tried settling down in either country. There were AQ members that entered into Iran from Afghanistan. They were placed under arrest. Iran offered to hand them offer if we sold out the MEK. We said no, because we're still cuckoo for regime change, no matter how screwed up the terrorist fucks telling us they'll achieve it (the Iraqi National Congress were stand-up guys in comparison), so Iran said to the AQ guys "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here".
FALSE DICHOTOMY.
FOOL.
JERK.
That Churchill and Stalin hated each other and that both wished for the destruction of the other did not stop them from actively cooperating in wiping out Nazi Germany.
...once Nazi Germany started a war with them.
Perhaps there's a lesson here?
Maybe one that ends up with the Red Army controlling eastern Europe?
That Churchill and Stalin hated each other and that both wished for the destruction of the other did not stop them from actively cooperating in wiping out Nazi Germany.
...once Nazi Germany started a war with them.
Actually, Nazi Germany didn't start a war with Churchill. Churchill's predecessor, Neville Chamberlain, started the war with Nazi Germany.
Of course, he did it because Germany had started a war against Poland, and was assisted in the invasion by--Stalin.
My head hurts. I'm going to lie down now.
