Want to go site seeing in Great Britain? Don't tell the British government. An investigation of the agency that issues visas found that one excuse given to those who had been denied tourist visas was "you plan a holiday for no particular purpose other than sightseeing." Another common reason give for rejecting a visas was "You have never previously undertaken any foreign travel before and I can see little reason for this trip."
