And I'm Proud to Be A Mongol Rapist, When At Least I Know I'm Free
Ladies and gentlemen, I present Sen. James Inhofe: the world's worst advocate for climate change skepticism.
I have been called -- my kids are all aware of this -- dumb, crazy man, science abuser, Holocaust denier, villain of the month, hate-filled, warmonger, Neanderthal, Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun. And I can just tell you that I wear some of those titles proudly.
Which of those titles can he wear proudly? Maybe, maybe "Neanderthal," if he's a fan of the 1960s conservative movement's in-jokes. Or maybe all of them, if the insults were flung by particularly bad people. But "Holocaust denier"? OK.

"Some" does not equal "all."
I see from Drudge that a prominent climatologist and former global warming worry-wart has changed his mind. Surely he'll be in the gulag in no time.
Science abuser? That's not so bad if he always apologizes afterwards and promises to buy science a present.
When "Holocaust denier" is one of them, subtlety is not your friend.
The distinction between 'some' and 'all' is hardly subtle. "hate filled, warmonger" are more problematic from my point of view. And "science abuser"? Don't even joke about that.
Abdul,
Science brings it on itself. If it wasn't so stupid, clumsy, and disrespectful, it wouldn't make Senator Inhofe so angry.
Sometimes this "Holocaust Denier" stuff gets complicated:

Joe,
It wouldn't hurt if science stopped blocking the TV either.
"And "science abuser"? Don't even joke about that."
Shut up, you! Or you'll get what my electron microscope gets.
When James Inhofe comes home, he wants dinner on the god damned table! He doesn't want to see Science sitting on the couch talking to its mother!
What does James Inhofe tell an electron microscope with two black eyepieces?
Nothing, he done told it twice already.
I tried science once, but I swear that I didn't inhale, nor did I enjoy it.
Those Abused Science Shelters claim that they're just there to protect Science, but they're actually promoting a hateful, anti-James Inhofe ideology.
Also, in most Science Abuse cases, it was Science that threw the first punch, and James Inhofe was just defending himself.
Inhofe wants school science class microscopes to be equipped with subjective lenses.
Maybe 'subtle' is the wrong word, but the distinction between 'some' and 'all' is pretty blurry when all of them are pretty bad.
Surely he'll be in the gulag in no time.
In France, gulag is in you!
My guess is that he's proud to be called those things because of who it is calling him them, not because he looks in the mirror and sees himself that way. I figured I wouldn't be the only one to see it that way, but it must be Simple Monday.
Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun
These are excellent. I wish people called me these names.
TPG:
