Speak No English. Hear No English
Codie Stott, 14, says was arrested by British police in Worsely, Greater Manchester, photographed, handcuffed and held for more than three hours. Her crime? She refused to sit with a group of Asian students during a school project because only one of them could speak English. "I'm not being funny, but can I change groups because I can't understand them?" Stott says she told her teacher. "But she started shouting and screaming, saying 'It's racist, you're going to get done by the police.'" The police eventually released Stott without charges.
