Voting for the 2006 Weblog Awards
Hit & Run enthusiasts will recall that last year this here blog snagged the "best group blog" award in The 2005 Weblog Awards. This year, we're not even nominated…in any category. Indeed, the BGB category doesn't even exist.
Alas, alack, ahem. In any case, if you want to vote for all your faves in various wide-ranging and far-flung categories, go here to do so.

I'm still waiting for the "Awards Awards", where the best awards show or poll is rewarded with an award. But what would the trophy look like?
There aren't too many libertarian entries this year. Mine is one of the most well known, though. So I guess you can vote for my blog, Homeland Stupidity, in the Best Centrist Blog category. 🙂
I would had liked to see Penn Jilliete's podcast nomminated for best podcast.
Is there a hysterical fiction category for Lee Seigel at TNR? He could compete with The Plank at TNR and whatever The Nation has.
Perhaps a Fairbanksing category could be created?
On the bright side, you guys did make it into MBCLoUJB.
I have some pull with the staff 🙂
This is the best blog. Period. How dare the majority of consumers not share my personal tastes? I propose a ban on blogs that don't serve what I want to read. I shouldn't be forced to read offensive drivel about how evil muslims or corporations are.
HomelandStupidity.us is the best bang for the buck, the most entertainment (and sh-- that would be to terrible to contemplate if it weren't so ironically humorous) per minute investment of my time. Michael, how do you do it?
As for Guy Montag, I swear every time I see your nick on Slashdot, I get that nethack fortune stuck in my head: "Guy Montag keeps his scrolls in a bag"
