The Lost Seinfeld Episode

With all sensitivity for Jeff Taylor's Dickian predilection, let me pass along this link to an excellent "Lost Seinfeld Episode" which mashes up footage from the TV series, Michael Richards' infamous Laugh Factory ad-lib, and his subsequent apology on Dave Letterman.

Worth a peek, for sure.

In all fairness, I must point out that somebody (Luke or Jake or something like that) posted a link to this in the comments on the first thread about Richards's tirade.

  2. jf   19 years ago

    I think someone broke it.

Is this the same National Lampoon "lost episode" I posted a link to in this thread?

  3. Guy Montag   19 years ago

We were discussing this on Slashdot a few days ago.

No, that is not a link to my journal!

Don't really care about "N-wordgate," but I just wanted to applaud the creation/use of the word "Dickian." That, my friends, is wordsmithing of the finest sort.

    Hello...Newman.

I second jf's question, because I can't get the video on the glumbert.com link to work at all on either of my browsers. But the NL video works like a charm.

Dickian, as in Philip K. Dick? Somebody, please explain further.

  7. brian423   19 years ago

Never mind about my Dick question. I hadn't bothered to scroll down H&R just a bit.

But I meant what I said about the bad video link.

On a slightly different note, I've heard that the 7th season of Seinfeld is selling better than any other of the previous seasons (like ~50% better). So either there are a lot of closet racists out there, or people just don't care and liked the 7th season that much more.

I've watched a few Seinfeld reruns since the Richards tirade and I have to say, I didn't feel any different about Kramer. I still found him brilliantly funny.
Personally, I think Michael Richards simply has anger issues and when the two hecklers started in on him, he lashed out with what he thought would "hurt" them most, consequences be damned.

    What does 'n-word' mean?

  10. van   19 years ago

Roy, it means "nigger." According to Jesse Jackson, the word is not protected by the First Amendment. Please don't tell anyone I said it.

Wow. This is the best Seinfeld episode ever! It certainly goes a long way toward explaining why "our gang" ended up behind bars.

  12. Jim Walsh   19 years ago

He is a loathsome, offensive brute; yet somehow I can't look away...

    vere good
