Androscoggin County Creeper Found Dead; Source of "Horrible Stench" Extinguished—"Hybrid Mutant" Looks Mysteriously Like Dog
Why does cryptozoology have an eccentric reputation? See this story, with accompanying photographic evidence, of what is supposed to be a mysterious, "evil, evil" beast that has terrorized the people of Maine for 15 years. Certainly, we should all reserve judgement until the DNA evidence is in, or until a visitor from the future returns to retrieve the vulture-cleaned bones of the monster it accidentally left behind in our primitive era, but it certainly looks like a dog to me.

It looks sorta like that thing in "Lady in the Water" to me.
Spoiler warning, Peter? Some of us can't see the latest failure by our fave directors in the theaters...
I didn't spoil anything. That thing is in the trailers, and mentioned in the reviews.

Paul Giamatti? That's horrible, Peter.
The animal has been blamed for attacking and killing a Doberman pinscher and a Rottweiler the past couple of years.
Well, it had some redeeming value then.
I love how the last one was described was breathlessly described as "some sort of wolf-dog hybrid" after the DNA testing got back.
Uh, guys? Yeah. That's not weird and crazy and spooky at all. That happens all the time.
This thing at least, it's sort of ambiguous looking because of its face, but then, being a hit with a car doesn't do wonders for anyone's face.
How far is Turner from Castle Rock?
What would have been cool is if the wolf-creature, after it was killed, transformed back into Michael Landon.
Not just any dog, but Bigfoot's dog. or maybe Dogzilla.
"What would have been cool is if the wolf-creature, after it was killed, transformed back into Michael Landon."
That would explain the "horrible stench."
They killed Cujo!

Aren't wolves and dogs, genetically speaking, enough the same to be one species?
it had a horrible stench I will never forget
Yes, dogs can get really stinky.
What planet do these people live on?
So if a large man with a beard gets run over next week in Oregon, are we going to hear that bigfoot has been found?
"He's a bipedal primate wtih opposable thumbs. DNA testing suggests he's some sort of German-Danish hybrid".
"This specimen is either a below-average human being or a brilliant beast."
Ayuh, she was six feet long if she was an inch! Ayuh.
