Taught a Lesson
Martin Wynn Davies has an "impeccable record." A Welsh judge said so. So why did that same judge sentence the primary school head to four years in prison? Because Davies admitted to illegally owning 10 handguns and two rifles. Davies, who cooperated fully with police, had licenses for several firearms, but possession of handguns has been illegal in the United Kingdom for 10 years. "There's no suggestion any of the guns were used in criminal activity. There's no suggestion he's anything other than an enthusiast," said prosecutor Ed Beltrami.
