Prescription Drug Warriors
At least 13,000 packages containing medicine ordered from Canadian pharmacies have been seized since the government started cracking down in November. People expecting their medicine have instead gotten warnings from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The feds say they are concerned about the quality of the drugs being imported, but critics say the crackdown is part of an effort to get seniors to sign up for the new Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
