This first thing I see on the site is a cartoon finding sympathy for Rummy — why should I care about this site?
Indeed – and a link to a woman predicting cultural suicide as the result of too much immigration. Zeus save me from tribalism in all its multivariate permutations.

Yeah, I can’t say I’m very impressed when I see a link a post like that under the heading of “Liberty.” It certainly doesn’t make me want to read the rest of what he has to say.
Guys, guys, guys,
Why do you all hate America?
The LLP list is libertarian LEANING folks, not Libertarian fundamentalists.
Disagree? Start your own blog, or better yet, go to whih ever you disagree with, look around and engage in dialog.
Sitting here practising philosophical masturbation may feel good, but produces nothing.
I love America. But the America I love is America the (somewhat gummed up) wealth- and freedom-making machine, not America the model of car that the machine happens to be producing today. (If you can dig that.)
(If you can dig that.)
Dude.
Duuuuuuuuuuude!
Wow!!!
Yet more sites telling us that good freinds of Liberty never vote their conscience, but always vote republican.
Well, maybe someone else will get something else out of that series of posts. But to me, I don’t see “liberty” as a focus of that particular carnival.
Gotta say, whenever I see the term “neo-libertarian” I know that the progressives are on to something with the term “conservativearian”.
My definition of both terms: Someone who likes to talk about liberty, while praying GW gives them a reach around when he comes a callin’.
But hey, no doubt I am completely off target. But if that is a carnival of liberty, than Castro is a free-marketer.
Yeah, I was surprised when I went to TomPaine.com
If it doesn’t have grotesque wax statues dying in agony, it’s not a carnival I want to visit.
It is the fundamentalists in the LP that have led to this:

Go ahead and remain irrelevant if you wish, some want to actually accomplish something.
“Go ahead and remain irrelevant if you wish, some want to actually accomplish something”
Contrary to “neolibertarian” dogma, liberty minded politics did not spring forth fully formed from the brain of WFB. There was a long, long history of people in this country who opposed the welfare/warfare state. They lost. And the public choice folks tell you why it was inevitable – where we are today is the way the system is designed to work.
So go on, keep tilting at windmills all you want. But it’s pretty funny to see you call someone else irrelevant…
It produces philosophical sperm!

GM – I don’t think know that she has a problem with immigration – but ILLEGAL immigration may be a problem to her and many others.
