Maybe mass protests can still have an effect after all.

Especially for folks not being represented in political polls and focus groups!
I really hope we make real meaningful reform to our immigration policy (in a pro-immigrant kind of way). It would be the first serious measure taken to make the USA a better place, in a fundamental ‘what it means to be an American’ sort of way, in my lifetime.
Oh my G-d, that means the Democrats will control Congress, and they’ll take our guns away! We’ll be like the French, but we’ll still be fat. Rally the troops!
hopefully the protesting carries over to voter turnout…
And hopefully some of those protesters have heard that the LP is one of the most pro-immigration parties out there.
This entire issue politically will be ancient history by November. Undoubtedly both sides were trying to use it to their advantage, but I think they fired their weapons too early.
