Ah, the gag's been done before by The Onion, using the Congo Civil War as the setting. Something along the lines of "Civil War Buff Joins Civil War."
The site, aqoul.com, means in Arabic, reason.com (sort of), but dont sue.

"yo no comprendo" in arabic: "ana ma bafham" (levantine) or "ana mishfaahim" (egyptian). in modern standard it'd be "ana la afham".
