Here's Looking at You
Chicago Mayor Richard Daley wants to force bars open until 4 a.m. to install security cameras. The cameras would be positioned to photograph everyone leaving and entering the bar. And that would be just the first step in requiring all businesses open more than 12 hours a day to install cameras. Chicago has already installed more than 2,000 security cameras—mostly trained on government buildings, intersections and train platforms—all hooked to a central emergency command.
