Pilot. Flight attendant. What's the difference? The Canadian Union of Public Employees doesn't seem to see one. It says Air Canada discriminates against flight attendants, who are mostly women, because they are paid differently than pilots and mechanics, who are mostly men. Air Canada argued the three groups can be treated differently because they work in different establishments, and the Canadian Human Rights Commission agreed. But the Supreme Court of Canada overturned that ruling and sent the case back to the commission for further review.
