you'd think the conservatives would spend a little bit more time pondering what 2.1 million ass-fuckers in jail are doing to the sanctity of marriage.

  2. Jennifer   20 years ago

No surprise that little to nothing has been done about this; I've seen way too many people with the attitude "once you're a prisoner, you deserve whatever happens to you." Hell, "pound-me-in-the-ass prison" has actually become a cliche! I truly fear for the future of my country.

It took so long to remember just what happened.
I was so young and vestal then,
    you know it hurt me,
but I'm breathing so I guess I'm still alive
even if signs seem to tell me otherwise.
    I've got my hands bound,
my head down , my eyes closed,
    and my throat wide open.

Do unto others what has been done to you

    I'm treading water,
I need to sleep a while.
My lamb and martyre, you look so precious.
Won't you come a bit closer,
close enough so I can smell you.
I need you to feel this,
I can't stand to burn too long.
    Released in this sodomy.
For one sweet moment I am whole.

Do unto you now what has been done to me.

You're breathing so I guess you're still alive
even if signs seem to tell me otherwise.
Won't you come just a bit closer,
close enough so I can smell you.
I need you to feel this.
I need this to make me whole.
    There's release in this sodomy.
For I am your witness that
blood and flesh can be trusted.
And only this one holy medium brings me piece of mind.

Got your hands bound, your head down,
    your eyes closed.
    You look so precious now.

I have found some kind of temporary sanity in this
shit blood and cum on my hands.

    I've come round full circle.
My lamb and martyr, this will be over soon.
    You look so precious.

Anyone know what happened to the guy that appealed his jail time on the basis that the beatings and rape that occured in prison constituted cruel and unusual punishment?

I bet Gunnels would have the entire case history and decision posted within the hour. But no link to the original. 🙂

  5. rob   20 years ago

I still say that Abu Ghraib is probably a better deal, despite the "torture" by amazingly stupid US troops, than the run-of-the-mill rape-as-a-near-daily-occurence prison in the US.

Rape should not be a part of the prisoner's experience... Unless they are illegal combatants who aren't US citizens and probably know where the rest of the bad guys are - then I think we should drop them into general population and let "nature" take it's course.

And yeah, Gunnels probably would have that posted by now. Kinda miss that guy... sniffle...

  6. Larry Edelstein   20 years ago

Yeah, I'm betting Abu Ghraib was probably better too.

In fact, I often think that our incarceration rate and the prevalence of prison rape are the worst things about this country.

  7. Ken Shultz   20 years ago

"For example, staff sexual abuse can corrupt prison staff and lead to other dangers, such as staff smuggling drugs or weapons into prison facilities for inmates."

Doesn't this sound like criticizing cannibalism on the basis that people are high in fatty acids and a poor source of fiber?

  8. rob   20 years ago

That's EXACTLY what it sounds like to me, Ken.

But maybe it was meant as an example of "yet a few other ways that this is an amazingly bad thing to allow to continue."

  9. wsdave   20 years ago

"And yeah, Gunnels probably would have that posted by now. Kinda miss that guy... sniffle..."

What happened to Gunnels? I've been away....

  10. thoreau   20 years ago

I've never understood the mentality of people who think that anal rape is a perfectly acceptable punishment for, well, just about any crime, yet 2 guys having consensual anal sex in the privacy of their home are a dire threat to our way of life.

  11. Joe Bleaux   20 years ago

Cuz it's only a sin if both of them are enjoying it, thoreau. But if a terrified teenaged boy is being punked out by a 300-lb. Aryan Brother (or, even better, a prison guard), then that's just teaching the kid a much-needed lesson. After all, spare the child your "rod" and you spoil him. That's in the Bible, iddin it?

  12. kevrob   20 years ago

Hey, maynard, don't be such a Tool. 🙂

    Kevin
