Drug War Drama
Tommy Chong's parole officer has nixed his latest project:
"The Marijuana-Logues" has canceled its spring tour after its star, Tommy Chong, was barred from performing in it because audience members were frequently lighting up during the show. Chong, half of the comedy team Cheech & Chong, was in danger of violating his probation, which bars him from being around people using or selling illegal substances….
The play expects to resume touring this summer, when Chong's parole ends.

I'm sure he'll be "reformed" by the summer and those audience members' corrupting influence will no longer be a danger to lead him down an immoral path.
I heard that Cheech is getting back with Tommy. I'm suspicious. I think Marin was flipped and now is a mole for Miami Vice.
"Cheech's not here, man."
This reminds me of the spot that Bobby Fischer is in:
The former world chess champion is fighting deportation from Japan to the United States, where he is wanted for violating sanctions against Yugoslavia by playing a chess match there in 1992. He has been in custody in Japan since he was arrested last July for traveling on an invalid U.S. passport.

In other celebrity-related news, Eastwood is going to do a film about the flag-raisers at Iwo Jima:

I am trying to figure out who will be more pissed off about it. 🙂
GG,
Who do you think will be pissed off about it?
a) The Japanese...portraying them as the bad guys would be insensitive, we'll have to change them to white, neo-nazi types.
b) Liberals...glorifying more American imperialism, we wanted that island bad, must be oil under it.
c) EnvironMENTALists...the horrible American soldiers landed on a beach that was home to the endangered sea-turn (crappus onmy carrus)
d) The French...Why? Because the Americans win, of course
You forgot two answers, mojoe:
e) Conservatives... because Eastwood will spend "a little too much" time on Ira Hayes, the Pima Indian involved in the flag raising (tres PC, mister Eastwood!)
f) All of the above
I'll go with answer "f".
