    The Kinks got there first.

It should be pointed out that France has a tradition of placing faux Santa Clausi on various fourth-floor balconies of prominent buildings, set up to look like pajama-wearing cat burglars about to break in through the window. So, maybe the attack was merely self-defense.... (and had it been America, ol' Pere Noel would have probably been shot, bien sur).

Backatcha, drf! And everyone else here, too. I'll think of y'all while slurping champagne & scarfing foie gras (the latter of which is illegal to produce in California, thanks to der governor...)

  7. DavePotts   20 years ago

Ah, one more triumph for the talented Mr. Davies...

  8. Gary Gunnels   20 years ago

    Matt Welch,

Not illegal yet; I believe they gave producers there a grace period before its production was officially banned.

You beat me to the punch about the balconey thing. Damn you. 🙂

Just think, the poor bastard just survived a heart attack recently:

GG -- Answer in a private e-mail if you prefer ... but just where the hell do you live?

  10. Gary Gunnels   20 years ago

    Matt Welch,

    Lots of places. 🙂

Anyway, I find the idea that Pere Noel lands on ground instead of the roof far more sensible than him landing on the roof.

Matt, whatever you do this Christmas -- DON'T READ GEORGE WILL!!

  12. db   20 years ago

Father Christmas, give us some money
Don't mess around with those silly toys.
We'll beat you up if you don't hand it over
We want your bread so don?t make us annoyed
Give all the toys to the little rich boys

  13. db   20 years ago

Oh, looks like Jesse got there first...
