A Proper British Nanny
"For me it's not a question of whether we should intrude in family life, but how and when," said British children's minister Margaret Hodge. She says opponents of the nanny state are misguided. Good nannies, she says, make sure "you can make real and informed decisions for yourself." That's why the government is unleashing a new childcare program next, complete with manuals, help lines and advisers to help parents raise their children.
