Death and Taxes

Zbigniew Macewicz had a heart attack and died when he received a bill from the Polish government for $23,560 of back taxes. The government accused him of not maintaining a payment schedule he'd agreed on and demanded payment in full of the debt. In fact, the government had miscalculated his payments. Tax officials said they regretted the death.
