Just Fine, Baby
Two traffic wardens in Bromsgrove, Great Britain, say they were sacked for not handing out enough parking tickets. Phil Mansell and Bruce Edwards say they were writing about 14 tickets each a day. But their bosses told them to give out closer to 20 a day. They say they were reprimanded for being too soft hearted. Mansell says he was forced to fine an 85-year-old woman who parked outside a store to pick up her handicapped husband. He also claims he was told to ticket a Royal Mail van that had stopped to pick up the mail. A city spokesman said they want to "increase performance."
