Chalabi Central
And now from the overseas desk, the latest WTF developments of the Chalabi clan.
Ahmed and Salem Chalabi are now wanted by the Iraqi government, or at least by the judge who has issued the warrants, in connection with the assassination of a Finance Ministry official in May. One report says Haitham Fadhil was investigating the Chalabis' finances prior to his death.
Both Ahmed and Salem are now out of Iraq, with Reuters placing Ahmed in Iran (!) and Salem in Britain. If so, the warrants may be an attempt to keep them from returning to Iraq. Or, more likely, there is just no telling what is going on.
