Sinful Practice
Debora Hobbs was fired from her job as a dispatcher for the Pender county, North Carolina, sheriff's department after Sheriff Carson Smith found out she was living with her boyfriend. Smith says that state law prohibits unmarried, unrelated adults of the opposite sex from living together, but he also admits it's a law he doesn't enforce. Hobbs says she wants the law changed. But Smith says he might not change his employment policy, even if the law is changed.
