Operation: Get Castro's Permission
I knew all along they must be commies at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The Florida Sun-Sentinel (full disclosure: I was a paperboy for this paper in the late '70s) reports that the FCC intends to fine WXDJ-FM for prank-calling Castro. Seems they violated rules about warning him he'd be on the air.

The FCC's code name for this incident: Operation: Get Castro's Permission
OK, but do FCC regulations apply to prank calls mate to sovereign foreign nations? Wht if they prank called Guantanamo Bay?
Yeah, make that "made," not "mate."
I found Mr. Osorio's suggestion so amusing that I have amended the entry's headline accordingly. (It is somewhat of a private joke.)
How did these guys get Castro's phone number?
That's the lamest prank phone call I've ever seen.
A couple djs in Massachusetts convinced Don King that they were Mike Tyson calling from prison, and wanted to reconcile. King flew down to the jail where Tyson was being held, and Iron Mike refused to see him. Now THAT'S a prank phone call.
