The former district attorney lost the election for his DA-ship after holding it for 19 years last month.
How did somebody manage to hold an office for 19 years within the single month of March 2004?
Probably should have said "...as of last month."
Surely you're not so much of a nitpicker as to not think of that?
The sentence could have been cast in any number of better ways, such as this:
The former district attorney lost a re-election bid last month for his position, which he'd held for 19 years.
Etc.
Of course, just giving you a hard time...not like when you're blogging you have an editor going over each entry. Or at least I wouldn't imagine such a thing.
Still no justice for Waco or Ruby Ridge...
I guess the lesson here is that a DA isn't above the law -- you have to be an AG.
Don`t you just love the drug war and the scumbags that perpetuate it`s longevity!
For once, some good news is posted!
