Calling All Fools
I try to live every day as though it's April Fools' Day, but the first of April will always occupy a special place in my heart. Here's a hundred reasons why.

Today is my grandfather's birthday. And every year we remind him that it's also the feast of all fools.
He told us that he's 42.5 years old today...for the second time. Next year he'll be 43 years old...for the second time.
And yes, he tells that joke every year. And yes, we love him anyway!
Hoax #92 (the LA highway closing) got me thinking: It was recently announced that part of Boston's Central Artery will be closed for the duration of the Democratic Convention. (We already knew North Station will be closed, so people who normally take the train will have reason to drive in.) Can I hope that that's just a joke?

Perhaps we should move tax day from April 15th to April 1st.
It seems so appropriate...
1. The government and the IRS are fools.
2. Most tax returns are about as accurate as most April 1st press releases.
