I feel so sorry for Dean. I can't believe how much grief he's getting for this whole thing. So he got a little excited and pumped up, big deal. I like him a lot more since the "incident" than I did before, even though that's ridiculous. Oh well. I still won't vote for him, unless he does something even better in the new future. Then my sense of compassion and pity will overwhelm my rational mind competely.

  2. dhex   21 years ago

oh man, that track sucks though. i'm gonna have to download this shit and do a proper fuckup once my new console shows up.

Howie "the duck" Dean: a fan of ministry.

    next on donahue.

    heh heh heh.

    cheers,
    drf

That's a pretty crappy mix. The Steve Ballmer "Monkey Boy" dance was much better.

    "Developers, developers, developers, developers."

yeah it is pretty bad, but maybe digital hardcore is the proper feel for it. There are a bunch going around and nothing's felt quite right. I wish people would use more of the speech, and do some nice timestretching to the scream, make it last like 10 seconds. Too bad i don't have the technology or skills.

  6. Randy   21 years ago

I, too, feel bad for Dean. The guy gets exuberant, tries to pump up his team, and delivers an exciting speech (which I'm sure will be eclipsed by the spine-tingling address Lieberman must have up his sleeve to follow up the NH primary), and he gets shat on for it. I'm not big on Dean, but damn, talk about trying to tear someone down over nothing!

I'm just glad he's ending the political act he's been putting on (God talk and whatnot) and going back to just being himself. He's far more effective as himself than as some image that he's being told he's got to portray to gain support.

    AMR,

All it takes is the recording, a computer with a decent sound card, Adobe Audition (or its father, Cool Edit 2000), a keyboard with some percussion effects, cables, some free time and lots of beer and you, too, can create a satirical sonic masterpiece.

Ancient history here, but for those political satirists who are interested, write to the link below for a free MP3 copy of my very own "Trafican't Beat The Rap."

  8. Andrew Lynch   21 years ago

Gee, perhaps we can talk politics and the future of the country when we're finished stroking off to a pop-culture gimmick. Ha ha. How clever. Lordy, who would have thought of remixing a candidate's outburst? Wake me when we're there.

  9. One Who Can   21 years ago

    Andy Baby,

Any hack, it's true, can create a mix (except you, maybe?) but to do it well...ah, there's the genius. Those who can do. Those who can't...well, they can only listen. Or not.

"All it takes is the recording, a computer with a decent sound card, Adobe Audition (or its father, Cool Edit 2000),"

If you want to save about $300 you could get a shareware program called N-track, which does about everything Audition will do for about $50 bucks or so. Seriously, it works.

  11. ed   21 years ago

Looks kinda cheesy, Douglas, but the price is right. How many tracks in mutitrack? Audition has 128, though I rarely use more than 20.

  12. dhex   21 years ago

a well-done breakcore mix would be nice, though that's not my bag of tricks, really. i was thinking stupid gabber myself, like 210bpm. i am currently without a mixer and very sad because of it. (psst...anyone want a behringer MX2642A?)

political satires should also be no more than 2 minutes in length. if you can't hit the point then...it just becomes an exercize in pain.

andy - we're going to redirect those soldiers in iraq to stop looking for imaginary weapons of mass destruction and ask them to find your sense of humor, which i'm sure could be honed into a deadly weapon if given the proper environment.
