Where's Jean Bart when we really need him/her?
It was just a matter of time before any agency would try this. It is real easy to imagine this happening here in the good old U S of A. You have to really love how political discourse has fallen so far from Liberalism, it boils down to "if we had the right Men in power", not "if government power were restricted, this would be hindered from happening".
The scandal would appear on 60 Minutes, then people would be "outraged". Lou Dobbs and O'Reilley would argue about who was more outraged.
Then those of us at Hit and Run would fall into the usual sides and rehash the same arguments over and over. Where the only logic that most people know would appear: "strawman", "ad hominem".
Happy Happy Joy Joy
Instapundit and a France expose in the same sentence. What a surprise.
I am sure JB is merely taking the time to compose a very thoughtful dissertation in support of this wonderfully progressive statute. It is clear that this law is vital in France's efforts to preserve the secularism of it's government. How anyone could read anything insidious into this legislation is puzzling to me, er, Jean Bart. France, after all, is the cradle of civilization, as well as democracy. The rest of you plebians should sit back and watch how a truly imaginative government solves the problems of the digital millenium.
Or was that too over the top?
