Reader (and friend) Jo McNeil notes that Gavin McInnis is now claiming that his American Conservative op-ed, which I cited briefly in my piece on Millennials a few days back, was a goof.
Should I have grokked that the editor of a Williamsburg hipster mag might possibly be yanking Pat Buchanan's chain? Well… yeah. But prank or not, I think there's plenty of other indications that the trend of apparent youth conservatism (in actuality a form of nationalist communitarianism) is real enough. And anyway, Newsweek bought it too, so there.
Addendum: Commenter Phil notes that the "just a prank" line may itself be a BS attempt to dodge backlash.
