Too Bright, Too Big, Too Convenient
Sydney, Australia, authorities are poised to place new regulations on convenience stores. New stores will not be allowed within 75 meters of existing ones. Stores will no longer be able to stay open 24 hours. Regulators are considering business hours of 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The intensity of interior lighting may also be restricted. And the amount of advertising that can be posted in windows may also be regulated.
