Hey -- it's better than Carnivale.
Sorry, forgot to plug my info in. The Carnivale comment was mine.
What?! The first episode of Carnivale was good.
Oh, espirit d'escalier... one thing I forgot to mention in the piece:
At one point, Paul Begala tells Dean: "If something pops into your head during the debate, just say it."
Has any competent political consultant EVER told a candidate this? And if so, would anyone say it *to Howard Dean*?? I guarantee that all those jump cuts managed to jump around the part right before this when Begala said: "Ok Howard, ignore this, I'm just going to feed you a line of bull that plays to your 'straight shooter' image."
It was ambitious. But it doesn't seem up to its own ambitions.

"It" being Carnivale, not K Street. I thought K Street was OK, in that Tanner '88-all-over-again way. Though Julian's criticisms are well-taken.
I was hoping that K-Street would be a real show and not a mockumentary style drama.
Although, the cross-over with that Carville line to Dean being used in a real debate was...interesting.
Carville in the Canivale? That would be ambitious.

Yeah! He can play one of the freaks!
"Come on come all! See the first and only Roswell Grey!"
