Beam Me Up… to the Oval Office!
Supporters of everyone's favorite jailbird ex-congressman, Jim Trafficant, have formed a presidential exploratory committee. Mark Twain once said that Congress was the only native criminal class in the United States, so it makes sense, in a way, to have a president who's actually in jail. (Though, one supposes, his first act in office might involve an invocation of the pardon power.) My favorite part of the article: "The former lawmaker couldn't immediately be reached for comment." Yeah, I imagine not.

The former lawmaker was busy being Bubba's bitch in federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison.
He wouldn't be the first to run from jail. LaRouche ran from jail in '92. His campaign slogan was, "The only man George Bush fears enough to put in prison." Hard to believe that old freak is still around and gearing up for 2004.
I think they should leave exploratory work involving Jim Trafficant to the prison guards.

Nothing's far when one wants to get there.
