A Florida truckstop called Grandma's Kitchen stands up to the law and lets smokers smoke. One of its patrons sums up why in four sharp sentences:
"Everyone needs their own space. I need my space and nonsmokers need theirs," Pownall said. "But [the owners] should have a right to do things like they want. It is their livelihood."

Its amazing today how property rights have just been demolished. We neeed more people like John Saunders to stand up to these idiotic laws. What amazes me the most is that people in Florida voted for this by a margin of 3-1. There's democracy for you.
The coercive force of government shouldn't be used to ban smoking in private establishment -- if people don't want to be around smoke, they don't have to enter establishments that allow smoking.
Private business owners are deciding waht to do on their own property? ....not too long before some anti tobacco comapny punsihes them for thinking they have rights.
