Drinking Buddies
Police in Garrettsville, Ohio, spotted a moving car with a tree limb hanging off it. When they pulled over the driver, he allegedly tested over the legal limit for intoxication. They also found that the driver was the town's mayor, Thomas Hardesty, and he had plowed through someone's fence and hit a tree a few minutes earlier. When his wife, Barbara, showed up at the police station to collect him, she began arguing with the cops, was tested for intoxication, and was also found to be over the legal limit. The police allegedly found empty beer bottles in the front seat of the car she drove to the station. Both the mayor and his wife have been charged with DUI.
