Times v. Sullivan for the Blogosphere

A 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling last week extended libel protection to webloggers. Big ISPs already had protection, on the grounds that it was unreasonable to expect them to police every byte of their content; the ruling made clear that even those who select and link specific items have a degree of First Amendment immunity.
