Speaking of The Queer Corner, in the course of a very thoughtful Volokh Conspiracy post about Republicans and homosexuality, Jacob Levy has coined a terrific nickname: John "buggery, buggery, buggery," Derbyshire.

Better to leave a snarky anonymous comment than actually have a reasoned dicussion.

    ditto, you anon "butthead" anon

Ah, no way. "Buggery, buggery, buggery" is indeed a great nickname for the Derb. I have to say that Rick "Man on Dog" Santorum's nickname wins, though.

First, it's way easier to slip into casual conversation. It's easy to say, "Did you catch Man on Dog's appearance on Hardball last night?" And there will be far more occasions to use the nickname than will ever be the case for the Derb.

Of course, we can use both. So, when is Man on Dog going to be on Hardball again?

better to bugger anonymously than dicks cussing irreasonably.

I can't shake the sneaking suspicion that Rick Santorum was the subject of an elaborate practical joke. I just can't imagine any other way a standing US REPUBLICAN senator would utter the phrase "man on dog" on television. My gut tells me, somebody won $1500 or so that day.

Be on the lookout for somebody quoting Tom DeLay using the phrase "anal beads" or "clit ring" on TV.

why not John "boogerhead" Derbyshire, lot more mature

    Cameltoe:

I keep thinking of him as Tor San Rectum, or maybe San Tore Rectum (the patron saint of jailhouse rape).

    P.S.:

Before such a story breaks on the airwaves, Tom Delay will be "on the lamb."

Reasoned discussion? About homosexuality? With Derb? You'd have a better chance with Rick Santorum's dog.
